Dear Captain Nymphodoria,
I trust this letter finds you in good health and steady command. This is Captain Aida Slaine writing from behalf of the western Jupiter District in Alortis Port. I am reaching out to provide you with an update regarding your recent order of safety equipment.
As you will recall, one week ago, you ordered us to ship safety equipment to your district, namely the eastern Neptune District in Lipid Port. The original schedule projected that the shipment would arrive by December of 2025. Unfortunately, there had been a major security breach in our district involving the TAKO CLAN. This has caused major setbacks in our operations, including our logistics. We foresee that the shipment will be delayed for at least a couple of months more. Once our systems are stabilized and operations resume, I will personally ensure that you are informed of the updated shipping schedule without delay. In the meantime, your payment has been securely credited to our records, and your request remains active within our system. I deeply regret the inconvenience this situation may cause for your district and appreciate your patience and understanding during this unexpected disruption. Should you require assistance, or if there are particular safety concerns that must be addressed urgently, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. However, it would greatly delight me if you contacted me regardless of whether or not you needed something. Seleen, I long for you–everyday I do. Have you grown tired of me, Seleen? I understand. Gone are the days where we would pick up seashells by the seashore, aren’t they? Your dreams of becoming a captain have been fulfilled, and so have mine, but you send me away to a completely different district where I don't see even a sliver of your form. Why is this, my dear Seleen? Whatever happened to becoming captains, side by side, you and I? Every waking moment I dream of a life that could have been. To command with you, instead of being six-hundred miles away from you! And yet, I cannot find it within myself to silence these words. My heart compels me to write them, Seleen. My heart yearns for you. You were never just a fellow officer to me–never just a friend–is that what you thought of me this whole time, Seleen? A friend? How about the kiss we shared on graduation day, our hand-holding endeavour on the ship to the Pluto District? And what of the promise that we would get married? I don’t understand you. I don’t think I ever did to be honest. You never. . . expressed what you wanted. And that made me feel selfish. Seleen, did you ever even love me? I always made the effort to get close to you, but now that I think about it, you never made the same efforts. My heart aches. Part of me hopes that you order from us to... let me know you’re still there, waiting for me. Part of me hopes that you will send me a letter with no more but two words: “come home.” But please, Seleen. I am suffering. Stop ordering your supplies from us if you have no intention of seeing me again. The Pluto District will gladly deliver your district safety supplies.
That being said, on the matter of official business, I will continue to oversee your order until it is resolved. Despite current complications, I assure you that our district remains committed to fulfilling your needs, and I will update you the moment circumstances allow shipment to resume. Thank you again for your patience, and I remain at your service should you require further assistance.
With respect and commitment,
Captain Aida Slaine
Western Jupiter District, Alortis Port
